Project Overview
A laboratory-scale platform for controlled composite research.
KRR Autoclaves engineered and supplied this R&D Autoclave to IIT Madras as a compact research system developed for experimental composite processing.
With a 900 mm internal working diameter, 1250 mm working length, operating pressure up to 7 bar and temperature capability up to 200°C, the system provides practical capacity for specimens, prototypes, tooling and development trials
The system combines a compact laboratory footprint with the temperature, pressure and process-control capabilities required for repeatable research and development.
SCADA-Controlled Processing
Digital process control for repeatable development trials
ntegrated SCADA-based controls allow researchers to monitor and manage operating parameters from a centralized interface. This provides visibility of the thermal and pressure cycle applied during each experiment and supports consistent process development.
-
Composite CuringControlled temperature and pressure cycles.
-
Material EvaluationStudy processing and material behaviour.
-
Prototype DevelopmentDevelop components before scale-up.
-
Process OptimisationRefine parameters between successive trials.
Research to Manufacturing
Establish process knowledge before scaling production.
The IIT Madras installation demonstrates KRR Autoclaves' capability to support universities, research centres and industrial laboratories with purpose-built systems for early-stage composite development and validated manufacturing research.
