KRR SIGNS TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AGREEMENT FOR AEROSPACE AUTOCLAVES WITH CSIR-NAL

KRR,One of the leading Heavy Engineering Company in Chennai has signed a technology transfer agreement with Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) -National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) for the Design & Manufacturing of Autoclaves. KRR caters autoclaves in two categories Research and Development & Industrial Production and manufacturing Purposes. KRR has a strategic vision of bringing cutting-edge technologies through collaborations with Academic and Industrial partners. We encourage research and development by catering to with progressive Universities and high-tech composite manufacturers in various sectors across the Globe.

We visualize the integration of Academia, Industry and R & D to develop competencies in high-technologies within India to be able to cater to the requirements of the Aviation, Aerospace, Transportation and Other Industrial Sectors. Also Advanced Manufacturing of composites for the Industrial requirements.

Mechanical System–Salient Features

  1. Door and Interlocking System

  • Quick opening Davit arm door with innovative steering mechanism & bearing design.

  • Lock ring-less door locking system and Automated swivel locking arrangement

  • Optimized spherical dished door

  • Automated swivel locking arrangement

  • Assisted door parking arrangement for larger jobs.

3.Heating and cooling System

  • Optimized Stainless Steel air duct arrangement for  better flow.

  •  Finned tube Heat exchanger to optimize better   thermal                               performance.

  •  Multi stacked Insulating layers to ensure Uniform hermal gradient                 maintained throughout the vessel.

  •  Cyclic thermal system to avoid cooling fluid wastage.

  •  Manual by-pass valve arrangement to ensure un-nterrupted services.

5.Vacuum system

  • Redundant Vacuum pump to ensure un-interrupted services.

  • Interfaced Suction and measurement lines to ensure proper recording of data during pre/post services.

2. Job loading system

  •  Pneumatically operated bridge setup to ensure proper  loading of jobs.

  •  Industrial standard based Rail-on-bridge arrangement to ensure safer         loading of jobs

4.Pressurizing system

  • Gland-less pressurized blower motor for smooth handling.

  • Nitrogen gas pressurization system with proportional control valves & Exhaust silencer to ensure un-interrupted fluid flow.

  • Emergency exhaust system (Safety Relieve Valve, Rupture Disc, Silencer) conforming to International Standards to ensure safe operating conditions.

Control and Instrumentation Electrical System–                        Salient Features

  1. Electrical & Control Panel

  • Insulated Enclosures housing Electrical Switch gears, instrumentation control, and electronic devices with access for the operator.

  • Interactive Devices with Sensor measurement, data-acquisition, and process control.

  • PLC driven control system implemented with fail-alarm system

  • Electrical Safety devices installed with auto-trip off during electrical system failures.

  • All the panels, houses the 230V AC power distribution boards with required ON/OFF switches, DIN rails, circuit breakers, surge protection devices, 230V AC and 24V DC Relay control boards etc.

  • Field Junction Boxes provided as per requirement.
